A recent case of a Canadian woman travelling to the U.S. with CBD oil resulted in her receiving a lifetime ban from entering the U.S.
Fortunately for this individual, her ban was reversed after legal intervention, which rarely happens.
Regardless of the outcome in this case, this incident should serve as an important warning for Canadian snowbirds.
While CBD oil – a cannabis product - may be legal and available in Canada and some U.S. states, it is still a banned substance when crossing the border.
Many Canadian snowbirds now use CBD oil for relief for everything from insomnia to arthritis and other health conditions.
Just remember you cannot take any cannabis products – including CBD oil - across the border!
