Following recent devastating hurricanes that have hit Florida, home insurance premiums have increased dramatically in parts of the state.

Some insurance companies have simply stopped operating in Florida. Others have increased their rates significantly and some will no longer offer flood insurance in certain areas.  

The best advice we can give you is rather than trying to track down an insurance provider on your own, consider using a reliable home insurance broker with experience in your area, as they will be able to shop around for you and should be familiar with which providers are offering home and flood insurance in your area, as well as the premiums they charge.
